Who wants to do downwinders from Pittsburgh to Sherman?

Yesterday, I did a downwinder from Pittsburgh's River View Park to Sherman Island. Had a blast for 2 hours, and didn't need a boat, the car shuttle worked great. If anyone else wants to do this, weekdays or weekends, pm me.

That sounds pretty awesome. Surmising that you did this with someone else? Tell us about it. What was it like when you landed at Sherman, was anyone aware you pulled off this insane feat-or was everyone oblivious?

What would happen if you had had equipment failure or the wind had died along the way?

The bus shuttle sounds great but when that's not running, all it takes is two cars to do our own shuttle. When I did it with three other kiters, I took a radio and a phone, could have called Coast Guard Rio Vista in the event of trouble. If anyone else is up to try this, let me know...
