It's the best sensor to use on iKitesurf for 3rd Ave winds, but you need a pro membership to access it. See link below for membership discount.

If SFO is blowing over 20 from the NW/WNW, chances are third will be on an hour later.
For Alameda you can use the USS hornet sensor and the free webcam:

But seriously, if you drop $2,000 in equipment, you can probably spend a $100/year subscription to ikitesurf...
Or at least get it as a birthday present!

Thank a lot for the tips... I did not mean to be cheap... I might register to ikitesurf very soon but I need to try it first with the indications you have me.
