BayAreaKite wrote:Hey everyone, it's that time of year again! After a long Winter of big storm surges and higher than normal tides, the beach at Pt. Emery is once again in need of some care. Bay Area Kiteboarding along with the City of Emeryville is organizing another beach clean up scheduled for Saturday April 1. We'll post more details soon.
What time?

Super low tide at 8am, so early makes sense.

Reminder!

Tomorrow is the Berkeley/Pt. Emery Beach Cleanup. I think the weather will hold, so come on down.

Bring gloves. Rakes, a pickax and shovels are good too.

Also if anyone has another chainsaw, bring it on down, the more the better. There's alot of logs to deal with and the chainsaws will be of great help.

Hope to see you there,
Ollie

People found plenty of your needles Yuri. Make sure to pick up after yourself.

Odd items I found:

Severed finger (???) (ok, fine, a finger from a latex glove filled with sand, severed by a shovel, looked sketchy at first...)

Monster finger puppet thing.

Bag of scallops?

Wow, what a difference a day makes!

Thanks to everyone who came out to help this year! We've now got a bigger, safer and cleaner beach to work with for the upcoming season.
