LF makes great boards. They tend to be cheaper than other companies mostly because they can make them for cheap because they make so many wakeboards. If looking at a new LF board, definitely get a Recoil. The element is awesome, but might be tough for a beginner as it's got a bit more rocker and is stiffer. with that said, I'm sure you'll have a good time on it as well.
since you're only 100 lbs, I would get a board smaller than 140. your ideal board (once you're good) would be something in the 122-127 range, so for a beginner board, get something like a 132. Anything bigger, you'll outgrow after your 2nd session as it'll be too big for you to hold down once you get up to speed.
Harness- make sure you get a SEAT harness. it probably doesn't really matter the company as long as it's comfortable for you. Dakine makes the sweet Nitrous harness which looks cool too. The reason I say seat harness is that the waist harness will be really uncomfortable to learn on.

I think you mean longer, not wider. Boards do vary in width, but the dimension everyone talks about is length.
In this sport, you're a real lightweight. The average board size for an experienced male rider of 180 lbs is around a 133. That same rider will probably learn on something like a 144.
Since you weigh so much less, your ideal board is going to be somewhere in the 122-127 range, and you should learn on something like a 133.
Here's why:
As you learn, a bigger board makes it easy to get up and ride. However, as you pick up speed, you'll need to edge harder and harder against the kite. If the board is too big, you won't be able to edge hard enough and you'll just fly downwind. So, for your first few rides, get as big a board as you can find, but after that, you'll want something a tad smaller.
As you ride faster, the kite is moving through the air faster, making it feel like it has more wind, making the kite more powerful, making you ride faster. In order to stop this from making you go 100 mph, you need to edge. If you're only 100 lbs, you won't be able to edge a 140cm board very well.
i sent you a PM regarding the board info...and yes, they make the recoil in a 132...
