Kiteboard Inserts - Where do you find them?

What i mean by through hole is that after I complete all my lamination (fiberglas and carbon fiber over a wood core), i drill holes all the way through the board for the inserts. I then mask the holes i just drilled, fill the holes with epoxy (you can see through the epoxy when its cured and the mask is removed). I then drill out the epoxy and place the inserts in the holes. If i remove my straps, i can see through the holes in the board. THere is no bottom skin covering the holes where the inserts are.

Glass is a tough one. It depends a lot on the core. You can get cheap glass (6oz) and put something like 3 layers on each side. The stronger/thicker the core the less glass you need, pine is on the soft side on things I believe. You also need more in the middle, especially under the feet.
The bad news is that this is trial and error. And its expensive trial as you probably noticed :)
I think I saw somewhere long time ago a published complete plan for a board, you can maybe use it as a starting point. I don’t remember where it is, but google does.
