I totally agree that it is unrealistic but the real question, i think, isn't if you can kite everything with one kite but more if you only wanted to buy one kite what would get you the most action?

Yes, this was exactly my question! I fully realize I'll be buying a smaller kite once I miss out on a great day that is slightly out of the one kite's range...

at 3rd i'm on a 10m Switchblade and twintip 90% of the time. The other 10% i use a skim board or a smaller kite. half the fun of getting a new kite is trying them all.

Stu, I'm guessing you are not like rest of us who risk divorce, getting fired from the job, and many other things we ignore to go kiting?

Re: One kite quiver, maybe?
there are some pretty great deals to be had on used kites....you can pick up a nice 08 7m SLE from a variety of manufacturers for under $400...combine that with a 10m and you should be good to go. a one kite quiver is a mistake. yeah, you can do it, but you shouldn't....it's not safe.
i'd also have to agree with the other posters, among the slingshot kites, i'm not sure I'd go for the T3 . . . the RPM is a bit new, so you won't find that one cheap, but I think there are probably some cheap Revs to be had, and those have gotten a bit better reviews than the T3
a "bow" kite has more range than your fuels yah, but not enough range to make it a one kite quiver.
