What most people fail to realize is that our realatively "new" Sport is growing fast allowing everyone to grow and expand, changes and growth should considered healthy, positive, constructive and therefore welcome. There is room for everyone at all the spots if handled correctly. The infighting/teritory battles should cease and we should share the launches, wind, water and students. NOUGH SAID! Get-some and be safe!

These people are coming to Da Sherman to hold a gathering about the grass being mowed.

Re: Sherman mowdown...
I want the grass to know that I love it and if it is not mowed, it will be smoked.

Ugh! I have such mixed feelings on this one. For one thing I am all about everyone experiencing this great sport. On the other I am all about enjoying this sport myself.
Have you tried to ride waves with fifty kites lately? Scary stuff. Sherman is not so bad but I do wish people would spread out more. That place is huge, not sure why so many people stay right in front of the launch.

Re: Sherman mowdown...
it's not the quantity it's the quality
I've been out at Waddell on days that were plenty more crowded than this weekend, but yesterday seemed more crowded that it should have been. There were a ton of people that just didn't have a clue (or didn't care) about how to keep the rotation clean. I'm all for staying out the the way of a guy on a wave, but when there are three people on one wave and you can only figure out where one of them is going....(the other two don't know themselves) it can be.....frightening.
Sometimes it's better to back out of the rotation instead of charging in on a crappy wave when there's tons of traffic on the inside, especially if you're not comfortable in the waves yet.
I'm not sure many of the schools are teaching wave etiquette but a good dose of common sense helps. Common courtesy should take care of the rest (wishful thinking).
