Bay Area Kiteboarding Party/Club Sherman 2012 {Merged}

There seems to be some confusion.

This party is a party for the sake of having a party and the reason why we are having it is because of Maui Mike's generosity and wishes to do something nice for the community and BayAreaKiteboarding.com. And because we haven't had one for a long time. That's it.

The "benefit" (I've removed the word from the original post as it seems to confuse people) is that you show up and if you want a great Maui Mike BBQ meal, you pay $10 for a ticket and enjoy. The proceeds pay for the expenses of the party (food, audio equipment rental, gas for generators, etc.), if there's any left it goes to help with the continued expenses of this site.

I plan to kite, then when I am done i am going to be hungry and expect some chicken ready for me. I wont plan ahead and bring my own beer because someone else always has one I can bum off of them. I will then continue to keep drinking their beer until I get so drunk that I start vomiting in front of somones car door and start fights for no reason. Maybe I will try to climb in your tent and sleep next to you or stand outside your door talking all night because I am an insomniac. If you guys are lucky I might grab the microphone from Ollie and start singing. I will conveniently only have a $100 bill on me which will be my reason I didnt tip. Then I will throw my trash on the ground next to someone else's car and not say thank you to anyone for their efforts. I will just assume since I am a kitesurfer that everything comes free up there, after all I already paid for a parking permit. Then I plan to wake up the next morning and complain about the mess and how hungover I am.

Yuri, such a good post, had some good laughs and shared this with a few at the island today. So true, but you forgot a few things, add this:

" I will also throw all my chicken bones and empty beer bottles, cans and general garbage into the pickup bed of one of the host of the party's trucks because it has the general shape and size of a dumpster. Later, after I've had my fill of a free meal I was too cheap to pay for (after all, I am a kitesurfer and I already paid for parking), I'll keep bumming free beer and when I'm good and liquored up, will heckle the DJ at 10 minute intervals to play the music I want to hear, which he couldn't possibly have, but I want to hear even though it would stop any party right away. What does he know anyway?"

I agree, and the product out of the bottles and cans tends to be better anyway, the idea of a keg seems cool, but you know...tap problems, foamy, not cold enough...
