Case in point: Today at alameda: Was nuking and raining when I got there.
2 people in the water on 7m and 8m.
Waited for the rain to clear. Pumped 10m. Got 30min fun sesh. Wind died. Packed dry kite up. Went to lunch. :)
2 guys were showing up as I was leaving. Felt bad for them. Wind was gone...

Luckily I brought a 12 meter with me and was able to mow the lawn from 1:30 till 3:30. Haven't kite in a while so this is still quite refreshing.

I am thinking about skipping work and try out HMB harbour this Friday. The next storm front should be a little more mellow than today which had wind gust up to 45 MPH at HMB and Waddell.

I see some kites out there on the boardsports cam at Alameda. If you went, what size kite were you flying? From Windalert it looked too light...

Will there be storm winds Saturday at A-town?

I wish there were a better way to tell than looking at the forecast and applying a +x since it isn't reliable. My guess is no; it didn't rain today in the East Bay, and the iKitesurf forecast is a dismal 5mph. The USS Hornet current conditions may be helpful tomorrow when you're deciding: http://www.windalert.com/spot/515?&unit ... Conditions

Sorry for the late reply.
I was @ A town and kited on a 12 meter with a TT and was underpowered.
JT which is about the same weight - 150 - 155 lbs - class as me was adequately powered on his 14 meter.

Had I brought my surfboard or my 15 meter, it would have been a much better session.

Note to self : carry everything to Alameda next storm session

Speaking of which, anybody in for Thursday mayhem? Looks like a trainer kite might be enough to get moving around 10am... *bg&
Can't wait to see beginners pumping 12m in the rain while I'll be cozy at home looking at alameda webcam. Lo)%

I'm hoping that wednesday and friday will get some wind since I actually have time off work, and don't want to go out thursday.

Anyone else been eyeing the giant puddles on OB? I know you can't land board there...but you'd still be in water technically :P
Listing gear is bad, and you should feel bad.
