3rd today

Post by tommy » Sat Apr 04, 2015 7:06 pm

drove up to 3rd today
upper launch
got all suited up and geared up
launched (12m cult)
kite felt weird... too much power and jerky...
started pulling me towards the rocks and i had to pull quick release
as i was getting ready to launch again a guy who i had seen launch right before me came in
he gave me a couple pointers about launching
i asked "is today not a great idea for a beginner?"
he said - today is a really bad idea for a beginner. ive been kiting 8 years and the wind is too unpredictable for me. gusty and swirling.
so i packed up my shit and came home

anyone else give it a go?

Alameda was the place to go for you today. Should be good tomorrow. South winds coming up Monday and Tuesday, not sure if you are ready for a storm session though.
