pro wake boarder new to kiteboarding

I'd say you could go about 2 miles downwind. There aren't really any waves at Alameda. Trust me, the Alameda route is one of the best ways to learn. You'll be staying up wind in no time.

"IF" you have a boat, DONT go to Alameda!
After the lesson!, you'll know how to do a boat launch so Alameda beach quikly looses its charm... Besides, being able to get to better wind, boats are not allowed within the near waters at Alameda (something like 200 or 300 feet).
There is BOAT LAUNCH near Encinal High School, but stay away from the shore while kiting.

what is the name of the launch off of encinal and yes my family owns a boat, i have to practice wakeboarding some how but thx for telling me bout the limitation cause that sounds way reasonable that u cant go cloer than like 300feet to the shore and i think it might be farther off than that
