We need a Johnny Cash song about kiting at Folsom not being incarcerated there.

Anyone have a extra lightwind board that I could borrow for Folsom tomorrow?

Well, it looks like the afterbay in Chico was the place to be today... IK shows Chico near 20 since noon. Let's pray that wind makes it's way south to Folsom tomorrow. :!:

How is the Thermalito Afterbay? I heard it's pretty sweet this time of year? Any thoughts recommendations?

Thermalito would be great if we had wind, (we got skunked 2 weeks ago)

It's not looking too good for Folsom today, lets cross our fingers and keep our finger to the phone so if it does blow we will all know...

The day for Folsom is probably going to be Wednesday. They're already predicting a similar north wind event to the Sept 22 one:

"If this solution verifies a very strong wind event
may be on tap for our region Wednesday with stronger upper level
support than the current event."

Meanwhile, Mon/Tues. are supposed to go off on the coast. Looks like another good weekend to work on Sunday and take Monday off.

Yeah, I think you're right Pablito. I'm watching the wind but it appears that it ain't happening today. :( I guess I'll just sit at home and watch kite movies again. Anyone got the number to kiters anonymous?

How about Kiters Unanimous!

"Hi my names LoudMouthGreg and I'm an adrenalin junky..."

I 'm thinking about getting a "club" of kiters started: simple goals are to kite and/or do other things with cross-over potential. Examples: wake boarding, cable park, skate park, moutain bikeing, down-hilling, rock climbing, back country, snow kite, snow-mobil, paddle boarding, surfing, para-gliding, what ever...Do a profile and submit, makes it easy to find other folks to get stoked with...

I think the name of the club should be " The too light crew."

Folsom lake tomorrow? The forecast looks decent. Same deal as Saturday-- I'll post the conditions before (if) I head out. The weather man sounds more confident than last time.

Dave,

I can't see where you get a decent forcast tomorrow...
They are calling for 5 to 10mph @ Folsom .. and only 10 to 20 for Sacramento.

There is a Red Flag Warning but it is not for Folsom Lake and will most likely only effect North of us, the mountains and foothills.

I would put my money on Chico and Thermalito but even there the forcast is only for 15 mph from the North.

As far as calling something a "Decent" forcast, I would wait till it is calling for 15 to 25 mph minimum.
