We will have the event and party and I don't think you'll need plastic to charge anything for the party. I'm sure many of us here would be more than happy to kick in as most everyone loves a bbq and party. Bay Area Kiteboarding.com will kick in some funds to get things going and the community will help out as well I would imagine.

Guys, shall we welcome Matt back?

Well Ollie, thank you as usaul. But I REALLY want o do this. Let me get a price and if it's out of my means I'll be sure to ask for help. It's not that I don't appreciate what your trying to do, but "I" want to say thank you, and have it come from me. I think I can handle several thousand in cash. It's just if it gets above that I may need plastic if accepted. So again thank you.

Naw- Bra we got you on the back door..

Dont EVEN think it will cost a grand! (could be half that and Duff will STUFF 100 kiters NO WORRIES!) This is going top drawer: Tri-Tip- probably cut to sandwhich size, potatos- green $%^&, probably chips and avo/salsa dip..
Duffy has feeds 300 people for the school events. He uses these barrels and hooks and slow cooks the stuff with lids on so it smokes it as it cooks it- FRIGGEN NUTZ!
And he like to work alone! If it takes half a day- he's STOKED, LOVES to cook for parties.. Give him a beer and a pat on the back and he is ONE HAPPY CAMPER!
Besides his one and only son will be kiteboarding with his uncle, his beautiful wife and daughters will be laying on the beach (probably helping him out, which is what they love to do)...

It will be a PHAT DaY! and you my friend will be the right smack in the middle of it!!

We can plan it for summer (wind) and thats when Duffy and his family can come, hot weather, HOTTER gals, lots of time to plan and prepare-
Get WELL my friend, we've got work for you.

Dude you said thanks by living through all this and giving us alla really good safety reminder of what can happen at any moment to any of us. the kiting tribe is a family and we all got eachother's back. there is no need to shell out that much dough to show your thanks as far as i am concerned. When everyone chips in a little to make these events happen, we all feel part of it and we can have a lot more of them. Welcome to the family.

Kite Naked just sponsored the keg of beer. So that is one last thing to worry about. Lets start thinking of the dates...

Well, as usaul I am honored by what has been said and done for me. As far as the date I would be HONORED if I had the chance to ride alongside of you all for this event. I would really like to make my debut with all you great people, with me riding alongside people I am proud to be a part of. So I will be trying very, Very hard to be ready for this. And thank you for the induction to the family, I can't think of many I would rather be a part of from the greatness that has been shown to me. And someone please let me kow whom are part of these beautifful poeole. And PLEASE let me know of anything you need. I'll do everything in my power to be there. I'm sure ,many of you have done great things(since nothing but great things have been shown to me) to be considereed a part of the family, all I had to do was get hurt. So I would be honored as well if I can earn my keep. And I will, so please give me the chance. And I hope you all are riding with me at this event, everyone.

Well, as usaul Ollie your too good. And I will appreciate it forever. I will be there with a g-string on!!!! J/K I know, not funny, but I can't help myself. I will have a great time. I actually will probably show up early to make sure I get a spot. Gotta have a spot to fall down. And for once I WANT to fall down.

Kiting must have a strange effect on people, because I have been around those from many sports and I have never experienced this from many others than those I call family(Those from my way past). Just when you loose hope in people, you meet new people that are better than most you've met. Seriously, I AM PROUD. Thanks for everything you all have done.

So, another update, not a happy man right now though. So I tried to ride my wake skate today, and never got up.52 degree water, yes, cold. Since the doctor told me that the squat machine at the gym came with a high risk of re-fracture, I decided not to push my luck. When I went to get up each time starting in the squatted position and tried to force my legs straight under the force of take off boat speed(water turbulance)I felt some pretty strong pain. So after about the 3rd attempt I just had the driver idle somewhat high, with me in the starting position for about 1o minutes, all the while I was crouching then straightening my legs for exercise. I didn't want to risk re-fracture. Maybe next time I will get up. I thought about next time trying to get up starting straight legged but I've never tried that. Next time.
