If he wouldn't have started rotating before take off.......

his body does a 720 though, you need to set your spin somehow. I'd like to see anyone throw a 720 without initiating their spin on the kicker.

Not trying to start a pissing match here. And not to anything away from Alex. He's a ripper for sure. And it's difficult not to start spinning / sliding the rotation around on man made obstacles. That one is fully snowboard style where you slip you heel edge on the lip to help initiate rotation. Still sick.

Dre rules for sure, I saw him do these 720 in Maui a couple years ago, made it look easy.

main diff here is here that in order to get the rotation started , you have to carve ...

can't really carve the kicker so to get the rotation going, they start on the kicker ...

taking off a wave/chop is different because you can carve just as you take off getting the rotation initiated,

I don't do any of these trick of course , I have done 3's of a kicker wakeboarding and you kinda have to start the rotation on the edge.
