OR Rise VS RRD Obsession VS North Evo

I am looking to get a new 12m for spring and I've narrowed it down to these 3. I've tried every one except the Rise, but I demoed the new OR Cypher down in La Ventana and I loved it. Most important characteristics for me are good boost, decent kite steering speed, high end wind range, and stability. I will probably try some unhooking soon too. Build quality and a good bar is also important (prefer above the bar depower) Can't quite make up my mind so I am soliciting opinions, especially on the OR Rise as I have no experience on it.
Thx

I heard the OR 10m is like a 12m and the Obsession is the best kite in the whole world!

"It's a 7 but it pulls like a 15..."
Rise is probably the bow-iest of the 3
Evo is a Delta
RRD Obs is somewhere in between?
All great kites I'm sure, I'd try 'em all bro.
I'd also see which dealer you have the best fit with. Dealer relationship with premium kites is important. The local dealers I know affiliated with those brands are Windy Devil, Boardsports, and Live2Kite respectively. See who you build the best rapport with, try all the kites and enjoy cause it's hard to find a bad kite these days in the freeride cat :]

Anyone have an opinion on the 12m Rise's relaunch and light wind ability? I've heard that these are it's weakest qualities (excepting unhooked). Any feedback appreciated.

For relaunch you gotta try the kite bro...
And for light-wind ability you need to ride a kite that is appropriately sized for you.
Usually if a 9m "is pulling like a 12m" or a 12m is "de-powering like a 9m" it is because of projected area of the kite (how much kite material is used for power vs. steering). So you just have to figure out where the 12m Rise fits vs. other 12's that you might be comparing in terms of power / feel, and then if you're set on the Rise, adjust the size (down if you feel it's too grunty, up if you feel it's not punchy enough)

Sounds to me like you just described all the qualities of the '12 Best HP Nemi. This kite boosts to the moon.
lmk if you want to demo a kite that meets ALL your needs, and with bombproof, triple stitch single needle construction.

I would only look at kites with quadrupled stitch and two needle construction.
Also, you shouldnt kite around bombs.

I heard there will be a new system with light steel mixed with gore tex, which is protective for the electricity charce in storms. It s everything bad proof. Guaranteed dominance for kiteboarding industry. It all also be distrubuted by sinless nuns and monks in return for good intentions.
It starts flying at 4 mph and does not want to land untill its 40 mph.
Stay tuned. :)
