Through the eyes of an OD(old dog)
Lots of gusty wind ,big ass waves....
If you wanna test your Karma on a very gusty day
At least have a way to land your kite like hook up a static line
Or bring someone to help land you.
Be safe ,think ahead
Have fun

Big ass waves require you to look up. I don't think that ever happens in Alameda :)charlie wrote:Through the eyes of an OD(old dog)

Re: Storm kiting alameda
Thanks for the 'ground support' this weekend Charlie! I'm the guy who tried to go out with my cloud on the slingy-foil with the board with so little volume the thing sinks. Pretty funny, but I lost the whole board and foil for a few minutes til she came to the beach.
Now I'm looking into gluing a 1 inch layer of foam to the bottom of the board to get some float, unless you got a better idea...hard to know but maybe 1/2 inch would do it? I'm not giving up on it!

Re: Storm kiting alameda
That might work
I was thinking all wood about one and a half inchs thick
Then seal it with epoxy?
Your slingy is still very cool!
