Hey everyone, BAK is excited to help promote another kite movie in the Bay Area! We are super lucky to get the world premier of Chapter One - The Kiteboard Legacy Begins. "It unites the legends, current champions and future talents of the sport and is shot in breathtaking locations around the globe using state-of-the-art camera techniques. Chapter One will let you experience the ultimate sense of freedom."

While none of us need a movie to understand the power of the wind and the effects of this sport on our lives, those of you who joined us at the "With A Kite" screening a couple years ago will remember how much fun we had. This night promises to be even more epic, with an amazing venue and even more of our friends with whom to share the stoke. World premier is September 15 at the Palace of Fine Arts, with the welcome reception starting at 7:00PM. After the movie, there will be a Q&A session with riders and directors, followed by an after party with a DJ Ollie! OK the Ollie part might not be true but there is a DJ planned and if they're even half as good as Ollie was this weekend it promises to be a good party!

San Francisco Hosts the World Premiere of ‘Chapter One: The Kiteboard Legacy Begins’

The world’s first 4K kiteboarding movie features Richard Branson, Don Montague, Ruben Lenten and many more. The travel and adventure film is shot on breathtaking locations around the globe, and inspires viewers to get out on the water.

While Hollywood and New York get the lion’s share of red carpet film premiere galas, the most natural place to unveil the documentary action feature, ‘Chapter One: The Kiteboarding Legacy Begins’, is San Francisco. On the 15th of September the globe-hopping film, featuring elite athletes of the sport alongside such luminaries as Richard Branson and the Bay Area kiteboarding legend Don Montague, will premiere at the Palace of Fine Arts in an event hosted by presenting partner WeTransfer.

"Years from now, people will remember Chapter One as the film that definitively captured the people, energy and innovation that defined the sport of kiteboarding at its formation,” sais Bill Tai venture capitalist and member of the San Francisco kiteboarding community.

This would have been cool to see, I bummed I missed it, although it sounds like getting tickets was a first-come, first-serve deal.
