Saw a kite on Bay Farm Alameda yesterday while walking the dog. Bar and lines were depowered to back of truck but kite was just flying lightly by a tree. I turned it over so it would not launch and kill someone. Any one know what's up with this one? Kiter ok?

What kind of green nash kite was it ?

And sounds like he was static line launching off his truck
But got hungry and went inside to eat luanch

Yup, saw him Saturday launching. Just wanted to keep it safe, every year I see at least one or two kites or kiters crash land on the rocks there.

Where are you guys launching at Bay Farm?

Ok first you take over a row of parking at the ferry parking lot, set up and rig up
Then you launch in the in the parking lot and walk over to the ferry dock
Be careful to not knock over the newspaper stand
Then you wait for a ferry to leave, jump on in and follow the ferry up wind!

It's on the walking path near a park, honestly not a good place to launch, you have to walk down sharp slippery rocks and the wind can shadow and gust there. But to each their own.
