3rd Ave on N/NE Wind?

I'm visiting Bay Area this weekend and forecasts predicting N/NE winds. Good winds for kiting at 3rd Ave?
If not, any other suggestions for kiting location for intermediate rider (no waves yet)?

Thanks,
Neil

Northerly winds are typically what make 3rd Ave work, and they almost always turn a little westerly through the gap regardless. Just stop by the parking lot and look for people rigging and chat with them. If it's even remotely windy, some people will be out (probably on foils if light). If you don't see anyone rigging or riding, there's probably no wind anywhere else in the bay. Good luck!

But lets hope for the sake of our North Bay residents that there is no wind this weekend {}[]

IMO, 3rd is a no go for NE winds. This time of year is more for the experienced rider as the winds tend to be more flukey and less reliable. Wherever you go, stay close to shore and only venture out as far as you can swim.
+1 on the no wind/ rain dance. *ju#
If the winds are East (and light), the coast is generally good for traditional surfing. S*urf

High pressure system typically means light/offshore winds dying in the afternoon.
