Hi, and welcome to kiteboarding.
I manage the school at Kitewindsurf which is based out of Alameda. We offer jet ski assisted lessons, and just received notice that we won the Best of the Bay windsurfing/kitesurfing school nomination. Your best bet is to get setup with a trainer kite to learn the mechanics of kite flying. After this we can work on the next step. Feel free to send any questions my way... andy at kitewindsurf.com
We currently have 2.2m and 3.6m trainer kites equipped with relaunch and safety systems available at our shop. (The shop is open this winter by appointment, so get in touch with me if you are interested... or check out our webpage
www.kitewindsurf.com )
Thanks
