Red Neck Yacht Club races

Start time:

6pm every Saturday evening Sherman Island

This is an unofficial official race very light on the rules


1. There are No Rules other than
2. We start at lower Sherman Island and Kite to Upper Sherman Island and back. (More details race day)
3. If you Jump the start you donít get disqualified but you do get hazed at the end of the race from you fellow racers.
4. If you tangle kites with your fellow kiters you will get hazed after the race by your fellow kiters.
5. And finally if you give up early because you canít quite finish the race then you too maybe subject to hazing.
(Hazing practices will be announced prior to the race.)

This sounds like a super fun informal summer series and is a perfect complement to the other races going on in the Bay. I've already heard a little bit about what the hazing will be so don't slip up!

Can we toss a hubcap around like a frisbee afterwards? I can just see kiting with one of those hats that holds 2 beers with a straw.

Paparazzi have spotted Donny and Sandy doing the full up-winder race loop today-- twice! The second time on 7-meter Rebels. Yes, it was bloody WINDY.
