Looking for a new chalenge? Put this one on your calender, memorial day starting may 24-26. We will be camping at dillon beach sat-mon. Chase boat ready, wind willing we'll be launching from Bodega bay & riding along the most scenic (cliff's & jaged rocks) coastline in northern california. But don't worry, bodega bay coast guard will also be backing us up.
This downwinder will be noe of the most intense trips you will experience.
Please be advanced to expert level with sufficient ocean time on water.
Must be realy good at working downwind, no straglers you guy's attract sharks. The first time I did this trip I was balls to the wall riding all by myself, kite shadow's playing on my mind. Local bodega aby and dillon beach crew, come and join us.

Me too. Some Santa Cruz kiters did this last year from Gazos to Waddell (talk about Whiteyville) and got in big trouble with the rangers. Good thing you got the CG on board.

sounds like fun!
The other day I rode from Crossing Beach, Marsh Harbor to my lot on Treasure Cay (15.5 nm), it took 42 minutes. Would have been 10X funner with a few friends, we could have gone around several of the out islands...
For the last few years I've talked about doing this run.. and several folks have said they wanted to go along with there boats, but they dissapear every time the wind blows...
The trip I really want to do is one end of Abaco to the other- via "The Marrows", about 100 nm. This trip would take perfect conditions, air-boat/ flats-boat support, GPS and a radio/sat phone, liquid lunch via hyro-pack etc... BUT, I know it will never happen unless I just do by myself and that would be VERY STUPID! (told you I wasn't a good role model)
Enjoy the ride,
G.

We're always looking for a new downwinder's and crossing, pushing mental & physical ability's makes for pretty good blood flow!! And yes the boat, someone always has to mis the experience to drive the damn boat, free drinks for the driver!! The safety in numbers theory, makes it a more pleasant experience. Hit us up with a google map of that area, will do it!
