Kiting for me over the past few years has shown me how respectful and helpful the whole kiting community can be. Whether it be giving some one a launch off the beach, or letting that new guy have the right away... but every once in a while i know that one kite falls out of the sky and accidentally knocks some one off their feet. Even though it was not on purpose usually the person flying the kite would run up to you ask you if you are alright... especially if the person that you hit pops up right away and does every thing that he can to wrestle your kite to the ground making sure that you don't end up in the near by road. So just a suggestion to our local Mystic Rep giving a lesson in the box at Alameda next time you or your student carelessly knock some one off their feet follow the Common Courtesy Rules of Kiting:
1. Ask the person in whom you hit if they are in fact OK
2. Thank them for not letting you get drug through the trees and in to the neighboring apartments.
3. Laugh about it and have a killer session
DO NOT
1. Ignore them as if nothing had just happened.
2. Ask them for a relaunch
Because next time it might be a little harder getting a landing when you come in.
Not meaning to Bash or cause any trouble, but being 17 year old raised by a Fire Fighter its pretty hard to not think about safety especially with such a dangerous sport as this.
My Best to the Tribe and let the streak of wind continue
