I am thinking about going somewhere toward the end of June and wondering if anyone else is going anywhere and has any recommendations for that time of year?
Maybe Tulum Mexico, Cabarete, BVI... etc? any others?

I don't know man, it's pretty windy in the Bay Area during June. I'd go on that trip in November.

We got back from Tulum 2 weeks ago and we really liked it. It's inceredibly beautiful and with it's white sand and the warm water an incredible place to kite.
But I think the wind will stop pretty soon down there. June is not supposed to be the windy season down there. Even in April I thought the wind was pretty light. We kited 3 out of 7 days. I had my 11m Bandit which was ok, but other people were going out on 15m kites. I guess Tulum doesn't really get strong winds that often. Next time I go I'll bring my 14m Kite.

I have been to Cabarete 2 years in June and had a great time. The winds has been generally good but we had some days without wind on one of the trips. Kite beach can be really croweded with kiters and it sometimes feels like you are kiting in bay area traffic. I recommend doing downwinders from Boca, a great flatwater spot to get away from the crowd. Nightlife is great there!

An old wise man taught me to "never leave wins to find wind"
You question is like a dude in Salt Lake City, In the middle of January saying "hey, I'm thinking of a trip to find some powder, where should I go - Europe maybe?"
You may want to take the time off, and sample the many killer spots we have in the bay:
Spend a good week in sherman on the right weather cycle - cold coast, hot inland - yumm rio daze....
Hit a few crissy afternoons, maybe thurds for verity
Spend a week at various campgrounds around waddell once the NPH sets up shop
The best stuff is in your back yard.
But if you want to spend more $, deal with travel hassles and get skunked thousands of miles from home, go for it and take lots of photos.
Get some, Z.
