Hey,
I just arrived in Berkeley. I've brought all my gear with me (from Germany) but do not know the area so far and I do not have a car. So I'm looking for some kiters I can join for having some good sessions. Is there anybody (maybe also from Berkeley) i can join or can give me some recomendations? Thanks a lot!

You can ride a bike (packed with your gear) down to the Pt Emery or RaceTrack launches...

Just to state the obvious... dont try berk. if you are not a competant/confident kiter. perhaps the racetrack is a better start if you must go in berkeley.

I am sure you know what you are doing, but we have seen enough accidents this year and I would hate to see you come all the way over just to get hurt. in general, you are very independant at the berk. spots.

mehhhh, racetrack ain't a beginner spot either. that rebar is deadly looking.

although, the original poster didn't mention anything about being not competent, the fact that he brought all his gear over from germany leads me to believe he can at least stay upwind.

i agree, ride a bike to racetrack....if you're at least at intermediate level you should be fine.
