Next CKA west coast competition is scheduled for this coming weekend, March 6th, at the Oceano State Dunes by Pismo Beach in California.

Skippers meeting ~11a-12p,
First possible heat shortly after that.

We will be running both a freestyle and a wavestyle competition, so bring all the gear!

Registration will be $15-25, to be determined that morning when the costs have been calculated. Probably $20 for the first division, and $10 for the second. Something to that effect.

Off the water activities include a raffle, BBQ, and A few DJ's through out the day.

Ok, so who here from the Bay is signing up?! :P

Hmmm, forecast for wind look even better for the bay area that day. Better stay home, I'd hate to drive 3.5 hours for a possible skunking when I can do that in my own backyard!

Today is 3/3, Pismo is 3/19-3/21. I know of no accurate wind forecast for that far off! :shock:

That would be a nice power to have, though. But if I were somehow getting to choose my own superpower, I think I'll just take the power to generate wind at will.

I am tentatively planning to be at pismo for sat and sun, but this is pending the wind. The NOAA forecast is all over the damn map, and most forecasts are usually wrong. However, if it does look like the central coast will fare better than the bay area or even if it looks like I won't get skunked down there, i'm definitely there.

right now.. NOAA is favoring the central coast ( and Bodega area) for Fri-Sun...

Sat looks to be like the doldrums everywhere though, I hope maybe the late night push will arrive during daylight hours or at the very least, near dusk.

man it's looking worse and worse. I hate forecasts ;(

Notice:

Date changed from Saturday to Sunday.

Same time, same place, just a day later... Forecast looks far better for sunday. Even better for monday...but can't push it that far back!

Can't belive this weather...windy here yesterday, looks EPIC monday->forever..but has to be iffy saturday through sunday. great!
