Coast Guard Paddle Smart Stickers

Post by thelaserman » Mon Jun 07, 2010 12:58 pm

I saw a few posts mentioning the CG's paddle smart stickers, for indentifing boards. While i was at work today I grabbed 100 or so stickers. If you want one they will be at the boardsports shack, just come in and grab 1 or 2. they have a spot for 2 phone numbers and a name. they were designed to be used with waterproof markers.

Where do you get them from? Maybe we can get a bunch for the safety day at Crissy this Saturday.

davidllyon, I can give you a stack if you want to come to the east bay. I am in the coast guard so I just walked across the office and grabed a stack.

laserman, Thanks!! Will do, I emailed you, and turned on email for my alias as well.

This will a be great place to get them out to boarding public. I can get them out to the peninsula stores and schools as well, if there's any left over. I've been wanting a sticker like this.

Laserman-

Great tip, thanks! Hopefully, the guys on the CG Cutter "Blackfin" will have some of those stickers here in Santa Barbara Harbor. Better load up the gear, looks like just about all of California is going to be windy today. Be Safe, Laugh Loud!

How does the forcast look for the weekend in SB? I'm coming down from the Bay Area and am contemplating if I should bring my gear.

Not sure if davidllyon put some at peninsula stores, but I have a small stack of these stickers if anyone wants a couple. I live near 3rd Ave.

Laserman,

I live in the East Bay (CV) and would like to get a stack. I can bring some out to Sherman, plus I have about 6 personal boards that need to be tagged :)

Are you on CG island?

Thanks from an ex- Coast Guardsmen

I'm not with the CG, just a fan of the stickers. I had a board lost once, and anything to increase the likelihood of recovery by fisherman, boaters, coast guard, or just clueless bystanders that may not even know what it is- this big brightly colored sticker should get their attention and hopefully give them a clue what to do with it. You cover Sherman and I'll cover 3rd Ave.

Guys/gals

I did a quick google on these and came up with this link:

I called the ph # and they will mail them to you at no cost. I'm getting 50 and will get them out to Indian Bob. I'll post a few flyers in the Rest Rooms to let people know.
