Maui Mike Here
For those of us who kited Sherman Island this weekend, you might have noticed a gentleman and his son milling around the launch area checking things out. Monday I saw them there again and decided I would shoot the breeze. They are orginally from Peru and now reside in Oakley. They expained that while they were out boating they could see our kites in the distance and decided that they wanted to see what was up and now wanted to get into our wonderfull sport.
This is the sad part.. They went to some store in the city and expained where they are from and what they were up too, at that time they were sold " The perfict kite for Sherman Island " a 2005 21 meter Fuel
what is up with that!!!! Im so glad that they didnt try to fly this kite Monday and injure themselves, needless to say I introduced them to Nate and recommended lesson. I can only hope that this dosnt turn them off to the sport that I love so much.
I rarely post, but I feel it is important that when selling used gear we realize our resonsibilty to peole who dont know much about our sport. Remember Karma can be a bitch..
Peace Out Mike
