Do you guys have any recommendations on app that you use? I tried several used for jogging but they didn't work that well. Preferably one that allows you to export you session to Google maps or such?
I have a great tracking app on my android phone that i have used to track kitesurfing sessions but i am wanting to bring out my iphone instead.

Curious what waterproof case you have (or are looking at) for your iPhone.
I just got an Amphibx Go from H20 Audio. Haven't used it yet, but it looks reasonably sturdy and I like the fact that the Surge 2G headphones have a mic and play/talk button so I can use it for music (frequently) and emergency calls (hopefully never!). I can't wait to phone home from the middle a session and find out what's for dinner! (or more likely what I'll be picking up on the way home...)
I'd guess the gyro, GPS and accelerometer hardware in the iPhone would lend itself well to a ShadowBox-like iPhone app. Haven't seen one yet though... Let me know if you find something.

Does your case have a headphone port or is it just a waterproof box?

Give trailguru a try. It's free, allows you to upload tracks & view it in google maps. Not sure about Google Earth. I've used it while snowboarding & mountain biking and it seems as accurate as a GPS app can be, however, altitude readings, at least the few times that I've had it kiting, were wacky (although I'd like to think I can boost 96' :) )... Another downside is that it has to stay ON as an active app in order to record, so expect your battery to be drained...

Motion x. The developer broke the double handed Transpac record using it.
