Me and my friend are planing to go so South Padre Island in the second half of November. We both never been there so I thought it would be great to go with some more people that are already familiar with SPI. Also, it could bring the cost down (renting the car, etc.).

Anyone interested?

It's better to go ealier if you can. I prefer last week of October to first week of November because later you go the higher chance of cold north wind. I'm actually going 10/21 - 11/10 this year.

temps can swing fairly drastically from hot no suits to san fran style cool air from week to week anytime late oct through mid late april so bring at least some rubber, and a wind breaking top to throw over a light suit is really a great piece of gear (for warm water cool air days).
