Whats best way to tag your gear?

How should I best write my name and number on my Kite and board?
Perhaps I can use Tiles on my gear too.

Tiles only last a year and don't help to quickly identify lost gear - average individual won't know to look for a tile.
p-touch label makers work great for boards and you can always slip some labels into strategic locations on your kites that are not obvious.
