Thanks to all for providing details--very interesting!

A question: I showed up at Emery Point @ 2:30 p.m. thinking I would hang out for awhile and help with landings before heading down to Alameda. By 3:00 p.m. I still wasn't seeing any kites on the horizon, even with binoculars. I thought launching started @ 1:30 p.m. What caused the delay?

i launched around 1:45 PM second time, I first did a quick trip past the golden gate bridge, I probably didn't get to Emery Point until close to 4:00 PM. I think the wind was so strong that you had to make an effort to go downwind.

I tried not to post too many of that good looking guy in the red vest flying the Best 7.5, but here are a few photos...

Looks like there is a green/white Ocean Rodeo in a few, Dan with his green/white cabrinha kite, and a grey/red naish.
oh, and a pic of the meeting that convinced most of us to put up our smaller kites...

Nice video! I really need to get one of those go pro camera! They look so fun!
Plus you can fix them on your board, your helmet and even your lines! :twisted:

I liked the pictures too. I'm the guy holding onto the rider by his harness on the 5th picture. Wish I could have ride! I was happy to help people to launch but I was sad to see you all going and have to go to work at 4:30 :(
