Any local shops carry RideEngine or Dakine C1 harnesses?

Post by sflinux » Sat Sep 10, 2016 10:15 am

I am interested in being able to try these harnesses on for size. The last time I looked to buy a waist harness I visited several shops to try on all models they had in inventory, to only find one brand that fit my body shape. I'm interested in new technology of these harnesses. Any local shops have these available to try on? My favorite local shops are under new ownership (ASD, Kitewindsurf).
Thanks.

Looks like Ride Engine has their gear on sale at the moment on their website. Buy local, but be sure they match the price!

I noticed that Boardsports has the ride engine to try on, at least at the Coyote shop ...(unless they sold them last week). I was curious too. It's pretty nice, very snug and firm.

Surprisingly I could not find one dealer locally that stocks the Dakine harnesses. Boardsports is the only dealer I could find locally stocking the RE harnesses. It's mostly Mystic, Ion, Prolimit, and Manera around here.
If you find anyone, please post about them. Thanks!
Btw, Live2Kite may be stocking Brunotti's Smartshell harnesses soon. Similar concept to RE and Dakine.

Seeing everyone coming up with their own shell harness Buckley was smart to cash out when he did MJ0_

But yeah Boardsports has some at both locations.
Listing gear is bad, and you should feel bad.
