Im a little confused. The parks department has gotten complaints about kiters on the beach. How did the parks department go about letting the alameda kiteing community know about these complaints and can anyone confirm that they considered an ordinance prohibiting kite-walkers.

kitechick
so true.....

we will as kiters get though this.

kiters flying there kites colse to pepoles heads is just wrong.

YES the launch is key ,watching someone set up is the tell. if thay just do like you tought me all would be fine .
BUT we as kiters need to eye ball the new bees that are going to make a DEAL when thay launch, and get in there, too change the DEAL.

i hope the beach guilds can grow into watch dogs
to LOOK for the ONES, before thay DEAL.

p.s. years ago (b.k. before kiteing ) there were sings up at crown beach that read no kiteing.
the navy base at alameda point had the jets there so........

SHould I be saving money in anticipation for a hefty ticket everytime I board?
There won't be any great whites, the wetsuit will keep the poop in and what's the point in jumping in 10mph?

Shit in the shape of a baby otter, hope the shark goes for it, and keep riding.

It seems what was voted upon in the last meeting has evolved.

I am now told that "kite in hand when on sand" is only valid on busy weekends.

Another meeting is in order. I will discuss with Rebecca.
