Hmm, It looks like there have been several petitions to de list the western snowy plover from the threatened species list. .... De-listing the bird would get us our spots back...

From what I understand, the plover SHOULD be delisted but being that the federal government has to do this, I wouldn't hold your breath! Also, we did extensive reserach on the snowy plover q in Pismo Beach and found that the report seems to be based on STUNT kites which as we know, people fly fast, close to ground, and typically, more in dune area than shoreline area.

take this VERY seriously. Snowy plover has shut us down from March through Oct paragliding at Montana de ORo state park as well!
