Chip won on a foil board, Gabe was second and I think Donny third.

Last Saturday's race was a blast. Due to light wind before the start we shortened the course and gave it a reaching leg. The wind built as the flag dropped and the racing was on. Lead changed over and over again throughout the race and it was a battle to the finish. I look forward to seeing more kites at the start next week. You'll love the course and the party at Ollie's afterwards.

P.S. Smokenman-You'll be happy to hear I broke a fin off my board today on Tahoe.

yeah, i was meaning to race, but i was so tired from kiting all day. not sure how to rectify that situation though honestly. when it's blowing in the afternoon it's tough to not go out there and ride!

The new course is waaaaaay better. And I'm not saying that just because I didn't finish last this time. Maybe wife-beater jersey #17 will come out of retirement for a race now and then after all.

The wind should be good Saturday and likely Friday too. A marine surge is on track for arrival sometime then. There's plenty of fog out to sea and shold start coming in toward the weekend. When this happens chances are good for big winds at the Delta. This is good!

And don't forget about the party Saturday night! We'll have a killer sound system, tons of cool lights and visuals with a big video screen, plenty of Red Bull Vodkas on tap and more. Do not miss this one!

Hey Curt, we need to fire up some tasty Red Bull margaritas like we had down at Pismo.
Tell me what we need to make them, and I'll be sure to bring it.

smokenman - you need an avatar for your posts. How about the following?:

Of course, we really should take a new one, complete with a cigarette.

Skipow - you need an avatar too. May I suggest this?:

Damn it's hot today. I hope it sucks in a big blow for the weekend

Weekend? Sherman is reading 19 right now, not bad considering the dismal forecast for today, but that's another subject, iKite's forecasts have been not so hot for a while now as Paul pointed out earlier...

Any local weather gurus predicting it to blow this weekend at Sherman?
