i currently ride a kite with super low bar pressure, it's nice. I know where it is at all times. In the beginning, yes, it was a bit tough, but even with super light bar pressure, it's always enough to know where the kite is --if you pay attention.
i honestly don't see any benefit in high bar pressure. why would you want it? I can unhook and get all the bar pressure I need, but when I'm hooked in, I want my harness doing the work.

Extending the fifth line on the new Vegas' seems like the way to go to me. I know Ed did it on his Rhinos and is happy about it. I bought 07 lines and put them on my 06 Vegas and had to do the same thing, but more like 9 inches.
The time I flew Z.'s 7 Vegas it felt like a Type Wave to me, riding partially on the fifth line, which made it really skittish and I'm sure added to the bar pressure.
With medium bar pressure like the 06 Vegases, you don't have to be "careful". If you move the bar a little, the kite moves a little, if you move it alot, the kite moves alot. When you're upside down in the air, you can feel through your hands exactly where the kite is and focus your eyes on spotting the landing instead of watching the kite.

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

Do understand tha to do this you are getting a huge project as simply lengthening the fifth line below the Y dont do crap. the reason there is atht mess of knots up at the Y is so the 5th line has constant tension no matter how much you are depowered. This is great as it keeps structure on the kite but if you want to lengthen the 5th line to let the kite bubble out a bit more- you will have to replace the line up top with a longer one.
And 20 meter lines rule!

That's the way to do it, just add a leader. Yuri, are you sure they designed the kite to ride that way? It makes a kite really unstable -- that's how the Type Waves were, but they had the special pulleys on the bar so that when you depowered the kite, the fifth line actually shortened. On the Vegas that I rode, the fifth line above the pulley stays the same length no matter how far in or out you move the bar, but it's tight either way, which makes it act really wierd when powered up.

My understanding of it, and I might be wrong, is tha the upper knot locks onto that loop where all 3 lines Y out. This is there so that the fifth line will still maintain tension when you depower the kite. Notice when you depower how the 5th line becomes slack but the Y is the same tension. So essentially adding a leader below the Y does nothing but put slack in the lower part of the line. Sound right?
