Underground board magically disappears at Alameda Beach

Post by msmith » Mon Feb 09, 2015 3:20 pm

Unpleasant first post, but here we go:
My buddy saw a kiter, caucasian (white), older (> age 50) picking up my Underground Crypt Twin Tip at the Kitty Hawk launch and leaving towards the shack.
The kiter was in his wetsuit and had no kite with him (probably looking for his own board).
My buddy actually remembered that kiter from previous encounters when he "washed up" downwind at the Kitty Hawk launch.

I went to the shack twice asking a dozen fellow kiters if they have heard anything about a kiter returning a twin tip to the shack.
Nope ... and I could not find my Underground Crypt on the beach or at the shack.

I left the 2011 Underground Crypt Twin Tip on shore -next to a kite bag and pump !- while riding my foil.
The board has a carbon fiber look (black), white Underground foot straps, red fins, 134cm, special marks.

Please post, call or email if you have any intel (or the board).

In case the kiter picking up my board did so with the unethical reason of not returning it and YOU feel totally embarrassed now .. ready to correct your mistake,
I would really appreciate it if you drop off the board anonymously at my favorite restaurant "Speisekammer" in Alameda (ask for Peter)
or at the Live2Kite shop in Marine (if you do not want to stay anonymous) or at the Alameda Police Station (if you do not want to stay anonymous).
