So I come from a wakeboarding background, and in wakeboarding there is are clear and defined set of tricks or stages you must master to move on to the next trick. In kiteboarding there are so many different disciplines that I feel the logical route to progressing has gotten mixed up. Also rarely do you start to kite with no other board skills. So surfers skip twin tip basics, and wakeboarders skip surfing basics. I surfed first; wakeboarded later, and flew a kite last. These are all different skills and relate to each other in kiteboarding. Now the big questions. Logical progression of tricks for twin tips and the logical progression for strapless directional. For me I want more kite instruction, technical foot placement instruction when strapless, and a mix of body position and kite position when on twin tip. No upwind tips in this thread its beyond that skill level we can hold an edge toes and heels.
PS I hope this thread turns out epic,
Mr. Fox

Re: logical progression
Don't think this is exactly what you are looking for but sort of related.
The Progressive series on YouTube outlines the smaller tricks that build into bigger tricks. Example, https://youtu.be/BeF6Y6J7mTY
I haven't bought any of their professional videos, yet, but I assume it is similar to this.

Re: logical progression
While not quite what you're looking for, I like this guy's approach to progress.
http://www.thehoxtonspecial.com/challen ... #more-3458
There are others that are a bit more insane. http://www.thehoxtonspecial.com/challenges/
The goal is some crazy trick, but you break it down to components and work toward the combo. You could probably make your own version.
He's also got a boardgame to keep yourself motivated.
Everyone is going to progress in a different order, but guess on a logical twintip development:
sent jumps
load/pop jumps
jumps with grabs
jump transition
back roll
surface downloops /backloops
back roll kiteloop transition
front roll
jump with kiteloop
front roll kiteloop
back or front roll to switch (540, but i think it has another name)
toeside jumps/rolls
unhooking and doing all that wakestyle.
.. anyone care to chime in on strapless progression?
