Price for new kite lines

Post by Guest » Sun Jan 22, 2006 6:44 pm

It's time to replace the old kite lines. I'm looking for a set of four 27m lines.

I've found a set of Naish lines for $95, and a set of Airush Dyneema for $94. Anyone have a recommendation, or know of any better prices?

www.windexpress.com

www.bestkiteboarding.com

both of those are cheaper, last time i checked, windexpress was the cheapest. If you get the bestkiteboarding lines, get the white ones, not the colored ones.

option #3, buy a roll of q-powerline pro from www.live2kite.com or www.murrays.com and make your own lines. About the same price in the long run but better lines IMO.

I spoke to the Mike from windexpress and he didn't have any long lines right now. I think the longest they will have is 26m. Naish lines for $95 is a good deal. Did you try live2kite? I think they have lines for sale.

the colored lines from BEST are thinner than the white ones. I guess you might get a tiny aerodynamic advantage, but i'd rather have stronger lines.

White lines on snow are almost invisible. If you want to snow kite, go for color.

I just ordered a set from Best: 27m white lines for $92 shipped.

Windwing don't have lines longer than 26m. They cost $96 shipped.

On a related note: where is a good place to buy extension lines, for those light wind days?

The best color lines dont last very long, and they are so thin that they tangle easier then other lines i have tried. I really like slingshot lines.

I know this is totally different from the original post but can i use kiteboarding lines (for a 6 meter JOJO Rage traction foil) instead of the original lines from JOJO? I just bought a new 6 meter JOJO without lines for snowkiting and looking for lines(4) and bar for it.
