Kind of let's you see where Gideon stands in his wave height calls...I call that 10 ft. occasionally a little bigger. I believe Gideon called it 20 feet...Mav's was 25 to 30 feet to put it in perspective.

I was there that day. This [excellent] video is not showing the big waves (well, you can see at least one closing out behind the rider). By all the white on most of those [very nice] rides, you can see that previous waves started crashing way back further ... indicating larger.
I guess the big ones were hard to ride. I myself decided not to even try riding one ... I was very excited enough just to have gotten to the outside where I could be safe and watch those monsters form under and around me.
Before I went out, I saw a windsurfer right in the slot and the peak of the wave was OVER his mast.
I would call it 20ft.
