6 word life story

Post by mbzporvida » Tue Feb 19, 2008 7:45 pm

Just read a book, Not Quite What I Was Planning. Smith Magazine challenged readers to write their life story in six words. More than 15,000 did, and 832 of these life stories are in this book, which is everything storytelling can be: accessible, funny, profound, and addictive.
Wondering what life stories kiters would come up with.

Damn, this is tough. Is it OK to use less than 6 words?

I reciently read a saying that goes: Life unexamined is not worth living.
But I like "un-lived life is not worthy of examination...

"Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of LOVE, and then, for the second time in the histroy of the world, man will have discovered FIRE"
~Peirre Teilhard de Chardin

Mine would be "At times dark, most times light"

Others in the book were:"I am more than six words"
"Insomniacs make the best midnight snacks"
"Shook Family Tree; nuts fell out"
"Saved by women's magazines. How Bazaar"
"I wear socks until they die"
"I recycle 12 beer bottles daily"

What are yours? Scott 6 words, just 6 words.
