1:49 seconds at Gazos, 3/5/08

[align=center]Came upon a few of you by surprise last Wednesday. Saw the kites from the road. It was pretty late in the day and the sun was right where it shouldn't be. Whatever. I love shooting you guys so I pulled over anyway. I actually came out of my shell and talked to someone for a change. No idea what his name was. He didn't say much, just looked out on the water at everyone else flying around. I asked if he came to this site. All I got was a "no." Felt like I was back in front of NY city chicks again. So, screw it, I grabbed the gear and hid from the wind behind a rock at the water's edge for an hour. Turns out Chief Talkalot suited up after all. He headed out just after I had setup. He's the tiny guy running behind his kite at the beginning. No idea who this guy is, but, he can just about fly.[/align]

wow. you do some great work. you want to come to 3rd ave and film from the point? I'll chip in some cash for your gas and time!

Yes, sherman is the place for hidef, you can get on the island and shoot people jumping the camera, crashing (like me), etc.

It won't be long now till those sweet summer days at SI. I can almost taste that nasty brown water already. I can't imagine how awesome the film would turn out as close up as you'd be to the action on the 2nd island. Scott always takes awesome stills there.

Nice shooting! The rare Gazos Gathering occurred as a few of us stopped at Waddell and saw that the wind was staying a few hundred yards off the beach. That new Peter Lynn Synergy is one hot looking kite ;-)
