2009 RedLine Bar on 2008 Best Nemesis HP Kite

Does anyone know if the new redline bar works on the older Best Kites? Are there any issues to be aware of, or can I plug it in and ride it without adjustments etc?

The 2009 Red-line bar is the first Best Bar to use an equal front and rear line calibration, with the bar at the max- power position the front and back lines are of equal length. This will be the standard bar calibration for all future control bars from Best.
The Red-line Bar and the Kahoona kite are the only 2009 products that are set-up for this calibration; this means that when using a Red-line Bar with a Waroo, Nemesis-HP or Guroo kite the user must also use the 'Red-Line Bar Conversion Kit'. The conversion kit is a pair of pigtails that, when added to your flying lines, compensate for the difference in length between the Red-line Bar and the 2009 Best Bar.

Basically what they are saying is you need to lengthen the steering lines. You may be able to accomplish the same thing without pigtail extensions just by using a connection point further from the kite on the kite's rear attachment line.

Just I.M.'d someone at BEST, they said the same thing as you, that I should try the bar without the pigtails first, making adjustments on the back lines. Let's hope it works!!
