I some what agree Ollie, but do you think that with out that over hype they would be such a big player? WW makes good kites, and there are several other kite companys that don't even get looked at. For a company thats only two years old they are pretty impressive. Other small or start up companys can learn a lesson. Not the lies, and t&a part, but the "all or nothing" attitude. They have more videos than anyother company, a better website, and they have tons of good riders. I thought that after the hellfish they would go belly up. I don't even think that they remember it anymore. They are coming back just as hard as before. Even though I don't ride their gear I got to give props.

Dewey,
It's true, they do seem to just keep on plugging away at it. Even around here where their brand presence is not too big they're probably still selling more kites than many other brands which are either fading away locally or seldom seen anymore or ever. So from that standpoint you're right. It's widely believed they have yet to make a profit, so I guess if you throw enough money at it long enough you can keep things going, but we'll see what the future holds I suppose.

The price is pretty attractive, but it seems like you need to buy the bar, too. I looked, but they don't seem to have a picture of the bar on the site.
Have you (or anyone else) seen a review of the Rapture 2 with a B-Safe or other standard bar? I'm wondering how the bar pressure is if you're not using the CC bar.

Charlie,
The 16.5 Rap2 we flew at Berkeley had a a proto CC bar on it. I didn't try the 12... I was just wondering because I've read on other forums that the Rap2 has alot more bar pressure if you use a standard bar.
I guess it doesn't matter too much, because it seems like with the improvementts they've made to the new '06 CC bar that might just be the way to go this year.
It seemed like Dewey, Ollie, and others gave up on the CC bar half way through the season. Are you guys game for trying the new setup?

o i used my bar, a standerd power lock bar
for about 2hr on the 12m rapture2 and loved it ,i order a new bar but have yet to see it,i did get some kites, rapture 2s so ya i feel the new raptures are a step up frome last year, more power, better turning. and ill get a better feel for the bar persser (its not an issue for me .)
i used my cc bar for all but the last couple of mounths of this year...
if i fly tomarrow ill have to use my power lock bar (witch i love)
ill let ya know about my new raptures soon
p.s. it took like 9 days to order and get from windwing express.
paul i think that the cc bar desesnastze the feel of the kite
standerd bars do not, also standerd bars will not have all the throw
of the cc.
