Jalama is pretty sweet.... can get gusty though if the wind comes in from the hills.... When I mean gusty.. I mean Gorge Gusty....

you guys probably already know this but Sycamore Mineral Springs is a great place to go after a long day of riding. They have various sized tubs that are nestled in the hills surrounded by oaks and the sulfer smell isn't so bad:-) they also have a killer restaurant but it's a bit upscale i.e. shorts and flip flops probably not the best attire!

Does anyone know about or have any experience with staying on the beach in an RV or travel trailer. I kited Pismo a couple weeks ago on the way down to Santa Barbara and drove on the beach no problem in a 4x4 truck, but what about while towing a 25' trailer? Seems sketchy, like you might end up just dragging the trailer down the beach, if you're not already stuck, that is.

You could borrow one of my tractors. It would take alot longer to drive down there, though.

I've never driven on the sand, but in the mud a 4X4 truck with a big trailer on it might as well not have four wheel drive.

Well, there's no mud, just sand, and down by the water it's hard pack which is fine to drive on even for a passenger car, but you obviously can't park by the waters edge, the tide will come in...

Just make sure to bring plywood and shovels.

Oh, and in their case, a Hummer (real hummer, no H2/3s!)

Ollie there is a camp ground down the beach. Josh stayed there last year. How bout it Josh? I stayed on the beach in town, 15 min. walk to the bon fire

Is it a campground that people are able to drive their rigs to? RV's, trailers, etc.?

So if that's a picture from last year, I guess it was't very windy, huh? I'd sure hate to be shoveling sand in 25 mph wind.
