Better yet, just set up an organized speed trial there with sanctioning and shop promotion and we'll see what the scoop is! I'll pay to play and I bet others will too. Maybe a large purse?

Actually Kitewindsurf has a speed event planned... June 15-18 Speed Event from http://www.kitewindsurf.com/store/events.aspx

I totally agree that the top speed with GPS would measure a burst... even if for a second... The record guys are going over a 500m course with an average speed... When riding fast, there are definately bursts of speed... not super steady...

I waited at alameda yesterday until everybody left. Just when the last person came off the water the wind came up enough to do reaches on my twin tip.
Ahhh, I was beginning to get emotional and irrational, that really helped.

BTW, the new underground works great, no surprises there. I think this ride's going to work out really well.
