Yeah, you were on a 14, weren't you... Time to dust mine off, I guess.

It was a very nice Fall day! Went out to Ocean Beach after work and there were light crowds and big winds. I pumped up my 8 to find the main LE valve leaking, so pumped up a 10 and was way lit on it. Everyone else was on 7's and 9's, so I felt prettyt worked after, but strong winds + double overhead = killer session.

Tuesday's forecast is calling my name. Time to call an afternoon board meeting.

Interesting comparison -- I hit Stinson, which I guess was the wrong call. It was totally kiteable on a 12, although 14 would have been ideal. But it was gusty and up and down and holey, and the biggest hole was right in the shore break. It was only powered enough to ride all the way in three times, but still a fun afternoon on the outside in the swell.

It'll be interesting to see where it actually blows tomorrow...

3rd Ave was LIT today! Very windy with gusts up to 34 near the channel. Alot of people underestimated the conditions and had to come back in to re-rig. Very nice surprise this late in the season. 8)

One of the things I like about OB on a lit day with big swell is the chaos, OB is so fun, no rhyme or reason, just big swell and waves popping up and rolling and breaking everywhere.

On a related note, Chip and Kafka were nicely powered on small kites and were totally stoked and ripping, showing great style in the waves, they were killing it...

I would love to get an OB session in today. Gotta love the chaos.

Today's probably it for a while, too. They're calling for a solid week of "nice" (aka no wind) weather starting Weds/Thurs. Weds. might be good at Folsom, though, with the valley north winds forecast.
