Fijian Winter

Itís time to make a decision, time to book the Holidays, time to plan your escape from the winter blues.( well it's our winter)

Time to get out of Mobile range, time kite yourself silly.

A Fiji kiting holiday, backed up by an array of included activities for those days you canít kite.

A guided trip designed to extract the most enjoyment from the Trade winds blowing through Fiji.

Full boat support as you start off on downwinders 13Kís as the crow flies, across open water past Fijian villages, wave to Indian fishermen, onto the Channel area where you kite along channels between barely submerged reefs easily seen and offering flat protected water in open ocean and 25kts of wind.

Find one of the many reef lines lining up with the wind to make the perfect slalom blast, toeside, heelside, toeside as fast as you dare.

Then cruise over to the mud flats off Leonieís Village for a vast area of flat water soft muddy/sandy bottom with minimal underwater rocks.

Donít get carried away. Still 6kís to go, donít be like us and see the sunset into the pacific and 2hrs flat out downwinding to go, there is something very surreal about rounding a Island headland peering into darkness and kiting on to Home Island of Safari Lodge with only the lights of the buildings as guide.

Thatís OK most simply get on the support boat at dusk.

As for me, I found out that Fijians are very hard to see at night while they catch your kite.

This is not a once in a lifetime experience, more an addiction that needs a yearly fix. And when you get back, it time for our seabreezes to kick in.

One of our crew is a travel agent and is tracking down the best flight deals, will pass them on.

Best Winds
