As former Pole Surfer (oh Hell, I still Pole Surf) I would like to compare my Windsurfing gear costs to Kite Costs... (and this is only the current gear I use and not mentioning all the stuff I bought over the past 25 years))
This is not even mentioning stuff like harness, wetsuits and $2000 gear trailer to schlep all this crap around.

Total cost over 10 years: $43,000

Break this down to 60 nights a year camping (MAX 600 over 10 years)

43,000 divided by 600:

Total cost per night: $71.66 per night!!!

Resale on a 10 year old used camper: $0.000.1

So my point is,

Lost income due to fun: $2,250,000
Resale value: $0.000.1
